2018-2019 Midseason Schedule: CBS

UPDATED FEBRUARY 25

Monday

8:00 - Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (January 21, 28)
8:00 - The Neighborhood
8:30 - Man with a Plan (Beginning February 4)
9:00 - Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (February 4, 11)
9:00 - Magnum P.I. (Beginning February 18)
9:00 - The Code (NEW - Beginning April 15)
10:00 - Bull

After being shuffled around for a few weeks to accommodate Big Brother, The Neighborhood gets paired with the return of Man with a Plan, assuming its former timeslot, and Happy Together gets unofficially canceled. The rest of the lineup returns to normal on February 18 with the return of Magnum P.I. New drama The Code, a fusion of a military and a legal procedural, has a special premiere on Tuesday, April 9 before settling into its regular timeslot on April 15.

Tuesday

Remains unchanged

Wednesday

8:00 - Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (January 23, 30)
8:00 - World's Best (NEW - February 6, 13)
8:00 - Survivor (Beginning February 20)
8:00 - The Amazing Race (Beginning May 22)
9:00 - SEAL Team
9:00 - World's Best (New Timeslot - Beginning February 20)
9:00 - Million Dollar Mile (NEW - Beginning March 27)
10:00 - Criminal Minds
10:00 - SEAL Team (New Timeslot - Beginning March 13)

Wednesday is going to be all kinds of confusing for anyone trying to watch any one show. Big Brother airs two episodes Wednesday at 8:00, then takes the night off for a week to make way for the new competition series World's Best; Big Brother then returns to Wednesday for its finale episode, at 9:00 on February 13. Survivor begins the following week, with World's Best pushed back to one hour through March 20. On March 27, a new reality competition series in the vein of American Ninja Warrior hosted by Tim Tebow premieres, pushing SEAL Team back to 10:00 after Criminal Minds finishes airing its shortened season. Finally, The Amazing Race returns and gets pushed to summer when it airs in Survivor's timeslot following the season 38 finale.

Thursday (UPDATED)

8:00 - The Big Bang Theory
8:30 - Young Sheldon
9:00 - Mom
9:30 - Fam (NEW - Beginning January 10)
9:30 - Life in Pieces (Beginning April 18)
10:00 - SWAT

Despite its troubled production, Fam makes the Thursday lineup rather than the fourth season of Life in Pieces, which has been delayed indefinitely. Murphy Brown was planned as only 13 episodes, but it's still been a definite blow both to CBS and to the trend of revivals that it performed as poorly as it did. Life in Pieces returns for season four with a double-premiere on April 18 at 8:30 and 9:30 before settling into its 9:30 slot the next week.

Friday

8:00 - MacGyver
8:00 - Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (January 25, February 8)
9:00 - Hawaii Five-0
10:00 - Blue Bloods

The usual lineup returns January 4, though it takes two weeks off to accommodate special airings of Big Brother.

Sunday

8:00 - God Friended Me
8:00 - The Red Line (NEW - Beginning April 28)
9:00 - NCIS: Los Angeles
10:00 - Madam Secretary
10:00 - NCIS: Los Angeles (New Timeslot - Beginning April 28)

The Red Line, the new drama from superstar producers Greg Berlanti and Ava DuVernay, will be aired in two-hour blocks for four weeks beginning April 28, bumping Madam Secretary off the schedule early and pushing NCIS: LA back an hour. God Friended Me wraps its season on April 21.

Unscheduled still are the returns of Life in Pieces, Instinct and Elementary
