2018-2019 Midseason Schedule: ABC

Monday

8:00 - The Bachelor (Beginning January 7)
10:00 - The Good Doctor
10:00 - The Fix (NEW - Beginning March 18)
10:00 - Grand Hotel (NEW - Beginning June 17)

For the first time, Dancing with the Stars is absent from the spring schedule after airing two installments in the fall (including a Junior version). American Idol is expected to air some Monday installments in the spring, but for now it's The Bachelor and then The Fix replacing The Good Doctor after its 18-episode season ends. Another new drama, Grand Hotel, is pushed to summer and takes over for The Fix.

Tuesday (UPDATED)

8:00 - The Conners
8:00 - American Housewife (New Timeslot - Beginning February 5)
8:30 - The Kids Are Alright
9:00 - black-ish
9:30 - Splitting Up Together
9:30 - Bless This Mess (NEW - Beginning April 16)

Aside from The Conners, which was hindered by cast commitments, all of ABC's Tuesday series received full-season orders: 22 total for The Kids Are Alright; 18 for Splitting Up Together; and 20 for The Rookie. American Housewife relocates to Tuesday nights, where it started in its first season, after spending a season and a half on Wednesdays. Last-minute order Bless This Mess airs its six-episode season beginning April 16.

Wednesday

8:00 - The Goldbergs
8:30 - Schooled (NEW - Beginning January 9)
9:00 - Modern Family
9:30 - Single Parents
10:00 - Match Game (New Timeslot - Beginning January 9)
10:00 - Whiskey Cavalier (NEW - Beginning February 27)

Schooled, the Goldbergs spin-off, airs after its parent series beginning in the new year. It was the only comedy ABC had on the bench for midseason, new or otherwise. Match Game airs in January and through February sweeps before freshman drama Whiskey Cavalier takes over at 10:00.

Thursday

8:00 - Grey's Anatomy
9:00 - A Million Little Things (New Timeslot - Beginning January 17)
9:00 - Station 19 (Beginning March 7)
10:00 - How to Get Away with Murder
10:00 - For the People (New Timeslot - Beginning March 7)

The Shondaland lineup takes a break for two months while A Million Little Things airs the remainder of its 17 episodes in a new slot. Station 19 returns in March and will likely air into summer. After How to Get Away with Murder wraps its season, sophomore For the People moves to Thursdays and restores the Shondaland lineup.

Friday

8:00 - Fresh Off the Boat
8:30 - Speechless
9:00 - 20/20 (New Timeslot/Two Hours - Beginning January 4)

Friday gets a makeover as 20/20 expands to two hours. The comedy block remains

Sunday

7:00 - America's Funniest Home Videos (Two Hours through March 3)
8:00 - American Idol (Beginning March 3)
9:00 - Shark Tank (New Timeslot/Two Hours - Beginning January 6)
10:00 - Shark Tank (New Timeslot - Beginning March 3)

America's Funniest Home Videos and Shark Tank will both air two-hour blocks in January and February before American Idol returns on March 3, cutting both back to one hour each.

As previously announced, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD will return in the summer
