2018-2019 Midseason Schedule: Fox

UPDATED JANUARY 28

Monday

8:00 - The Resident
9:00 - The Passage (NEW - Beginning January 14)
9:00 - 9-1-1 (Beginning March 18)

The Resident received a back-order for its second season and continues in its same timeslot, leading into the new thriller The Passage, Fox's highest-profile new show of the season. 9-1-1 will return to the schedule later in the season to air its eight remaining episodes.

Tuesday

8:00 - Lethal Weapon
8:00 - Masterchef Junior (New Timeslot - Beginning March 5)
9:00 - The Gifted
9:00 - Mental Samurai (NEW - Beginning March 5)

Tuesday, a night of soft ratings for likely high-cost shows, goes all-unscripted beginning in March with the return of Masterchef Junior and the new Rob Lowe-hosted competition show Mental Samurai.

Wednesday

8:00 - Gordon Ramsey's 24 Hours to Hell to Back (Beginning January 2)
9:00 - The Masked Singer (NEW - Beginning January 2)

While Empire and Star take their usual long hiatuses, Wednesday goes all-reality with the former summer series 24 Hours to Hell and Back, which sees Ramsey helping struggling restaurants, and the new singing reality competition The Masked Singer. The new series features shrouded celebrity singers making a panel of other celebrities guess who they are "behind the mask."

Thursday

8:00 - Gotham (Beginning January 3)
9:00 - The Orville (Beginning January 3)

The final season of Gotham returns to its former timeslot alongside the second season of The Orville, which receives a special preview on December 30.

Friday

8:00 - Last Man Standing
8:30 - The Cool Kids
9:00 - Hell's Kitchen
9:00 - Proven Innocent (NEW - Beginning February 15)

The Cool Kids received a full-season order and remains after Last Man Standing for spring. New legal drama Proven Innocent gets dumped at 9:00 in February, which doesn't demonstrate much faith from Fox.

Sunday

7:30 - Bob's Burgers (New Timeslot - Beginning March 3)
8:00 - The Simpsons
8:30 - Bob's Burgers
8:30 - Family Guy (New Timeslot - Beginning March 3)
9:00 - Family Guy
9:00 - Cosmos: Possible Worlds (NEW - Beginning March 3)
9:30 - Rel

Sundays get a big shift in March, when the Cosmos sequel series occupies the 9:00 slot, pushing Family Guy back to 8:30 and Bob's Burgers back to 7:30 (and freshman Rel off the schedule entirely, signaling cancellation).
